The University of Alabama Alta Marea is seeking donations for the trip to the Winter Guard International Championships.

The performing arts group is much like the Million Dollar Band Color Guard. The group travels around the southeast performing in competitions. However, the group is entirely self funded.

The performing arts group is now asking for donations to make their trip to the World Championships.

According to fundraising campaign's page:

"Alta Marea (translated from Italian meaning high tide) is a student organization at The University of Alabama made up of members of the Million Dollar Band Color Guard who wish to perform and compete during the spring semester.  As such, we are responsible for raising our own funds for costumes, props, and equipment along with travel expenses such as buses, hotel accommodations, and meals."
