Alabama's best-known weatherman will be in the Druid City Saturday for a special appearance at a new coffee shop on the Tuscaloosa Strip.

Representatives for Strange Brew Coffeehouse on University Boulevard said meteorologist James Spann will be there Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for a special event a few hours ahead of the hotly anticipated Alabama-Texas game in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Spann will be selling exclusive merchandise and autographed copies of his books during the event.

The new-to-Tuscaloosa Strange Brew CoffeeHouse was founded in Starkville by Mississippi State University alumnus Shane Reed and his wife Kaitlin, a University of Alabama alumna.

The new shop opened next to Galette's bar on the Strip in January, becoming the brand's third location. Check them out at 1101 University Boulevard now, and if you'll be in town Saturday to tailgate before kickoff, consider making plans to drop in and see Spann while he's in town.
