2 Hurt, 1 Critically, in Shooting at Tuscaloosa Bar Saturday
Two people were wounded, one seriously after another shooting in Tuscaloosa early Saturday morning.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, confirmed to the Thread that the Tuscaloosa Police Department and the VCU were called out to Dave's Crimson Bar on James I. Harrison Parkway on reports of a shooting.
Sellers said two people had been shot. One person was in critical condition and the other suffered injuries that police did not consider life-threatening.
Details about the incident are still sparse, but Sellers said the shooting happened sometime after midnight and before dawn Saturday.
The incident also marks the fourth non-fatal shooting incident in Tuscaloosa this week.
A juvenile suffered minor injuries at West Tuscaloosa's Creekwood Village Monday, a man was shot in the hand near Freeman Park Wednesday, and another man was shot in the leg at the Shell on Skyland Boulevard Friday.
The VCU is still working the case and little information is available - stay connected to the Tuscaloosa Thread for updates as they come in.
