1 Dead After Shooting in Walker County’s Boldo Community

One person is dead after a shooting in the Boldo community of Walker County, a spokesperson for the sheriff's office there confirmed on social media Thursday night.

In a Facebook post to the Walker County Sheriff's Office page, a representative for the agency said deputies were called to Boldo on reports of an active shooter there.

A person there had reportedly fired a weapon at a family member.

The sheriff's office said "one subject is now deceased," but did not immediately elaborate on who had been killed or how.

Investigators with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency were on the scene Thursday night to investigate the killing.
