Woodstock Woman Dies After Interstate Crash Outside Lake View in Tuscaloosa County
A woman from Woodstock died Saturday after a collision on the interstate in Tuscaloosa County outside Lake View.
Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency in West Alabama, said 37-year-old Jessica R. Kelley was driving a 2018 Toyota Highlander on I-20 Friday morning when she collided with a 2-023 Hyundai Elantra being driven by a Jasper man.
King said the Toyota flipped several times and Kelley was badly injured. She was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, but King said she succumbed to her injuries and died Saturday.
The two vehicles collided around Mile Marker 98 near Lake View and Bucksville in Tuscaloosa County.
No other details were available Sunday afternoon, and King said Troopers with the Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
