Police Searching Jack Warner Parkway for Driver Who Bailed After Chase

Police from multiple law enforcement agencies are scouring an area of Tuscaloosa Thursday evening searching for a driver who bailed from his vehicle after a long, high-speed chase.

Dozens of police vehicles are in the area of McFarland Boulevard near Jack Warner Parkway, the Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools their surroundings.

The suspect vehicle is reportedly a red Kia Optima.

The pursuit reportedly began with Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers who were later assisted by at least Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's deputies, Tuscaloosa city police officers and Northport Police officers.

Local agencies are currently referring questions to ALEA State Troopers and the Thread is working to get more information about this developing situation as soon as possible.
