Six men were arrested during an undercover prostitution sting at a Tuscaloosa hotel last weekend, police have confirmed.

Captain Phil Simpson, the commander of the West Alabama INTERCEPT Task Force, said his investigators conducted undercover operations at the hotel on the last weekend in March. Agents posted sex-for-sale advertisements and arrested the "Johns" who allegedly responded to solicit prostitution.

Six men reportedly showed up and paid an undercover agent with cash or apps on their phones, and they were each arrested and charged with soliciting prostitution.

WAITF - formerly known as the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force - said the suspects included Brian Cottingham, Barclavian Flowers, Eric Jones, Robert Lee, Chrstipher Paul, and Jamie Williams.

Jamie Williams was actually charged with four total counts of soliciting prostitution.

In 2024, an arrested pimp's electronic records were used to find and arrest men who police accuse of paying for access to a young victim.

In addition to being caught in this weekend's operations, Williams had three outstanding warrants related to that earlier human trafficking investigation.

Solicitation of prostitution is a Class A misdemeanor, and it is the general policy of the Thread not to publish the mugshots of those who are only accused of misdemeanor charges.
