Walker County Man Killed in Friday Crash Outside Northport
A Walker County man died early Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash outside of Northport City limits.
Sergeant Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said 49-year-old Thomas E. Stanton was driving a 2003 Nissan Frontier on Alabama Highway 69 when it left the roadway.

King said the vehicle struck a tree, and Stanton was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
King said the deadly crash took place at about 12 a.m. Friday, roughly seven miles north of Northport city limits.
Stanton was from Qunton, Alabama, Troopers said.
