A Florida woman was killed in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 82 in Tuscaloosa County late Wednesday night, Alabama State Troopers reported Thursday.
21-year-old Ariel S. Burcham of Valrico, Florida, died at the scene, according to Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.
Bailey said Burcham was driving a 2026 Kia K4 that collided head-on with a 2013 Ford F-150 pickup around 10:45 p.m. near Mile Marker 59 on U.S. 82, about five miles east of Tuscaloosa.
The driver of the pickup, a 39-year-old from Northport, was hurt and taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division are still investigating. ALEA said nothing further is available.
