VA Medical Center Hosting Job Fair, Offers Pay Incentives for Select Positions
The Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center is offering pay incentives for certain positions during a job fair that will take place Saturday.
According to a release, the hospital is looking for "highly qualified individuals to fill multiple registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, police officer and housekeeping aide vacancies."
Those applying for the RN or LPN positions will be eligible to receive up to a $10,000 incentive for a one-year obligation, with salary options based on specialized experience.
Applicants must bring the following items to the job fair:
- resume
- two forms of identification
- copy of licensure and unofficial transcript (RN and LPN applicants only
- DD 214 for veterans
The release states applicants will be selected at the event and given tentative job offers. Pre-employment checks such as physicals, fingerprints, credentialing and background investigations will also be conducted.
The job fair will occur from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m in the Sports Atrium, located in building 137 at the medical center.
