James Spann reported via Facebook as Idalia moves inland, widespread rain can be expected tomorrow over Southeast Alabama.

However, the hurricane is not predicted to have any significant impact on the state.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham predicted the effects of Idalia to be "on the lower end," with "increased rain chances and breezy conditions by Wednesday across southeastern counties."

Spann said scattered showers and thunderstorms continue across Alabama Tuesday afternoon.
