Last Monday, the union announced that they would start hosting 'Unity Rallies' in the Brookwood area for members, families, and community supporters to "build solidarity and hear from local and national allies."

The union has now set the date and time for the first rally, and an attorney for the union posted the information on Twitter. The rally is set to begin Wednesday at 6 p.m. and feature live music and more.

The strike began after the employee's contract with Warrior Met Coal expired and they were unable to negotiate a contract the workers believed to be fair.

As the strike continues, the union has pledged to keep supporting the miners until they receive a fair contract.
