Two people were killed in Tuscaloosa Saturday during torrential rains and flash flooding, according to Tuscaloosa City Council President Kip Tyner.

In a Facebook post just before midnight Saturday, Tyner said the seven inches of rain dumped on Tuscaloosa led to two deaths in the area.

Other details, including the identities of the victims and the circumstances of their deaths, were not immediately available.
