Multiple Wrecks Create Tuesday Traffic Nightmare in Northport
Two separate accidents have made traffic a nightmare at one of Northport's busiest intersections Tuesday afternoon.
A dump truck has flipped on its side heading east on Highway 82 at Highway 43 in front of the Chevron service station and across the street from the Northport Civic Center.
That wreck created a massive mess to clean up as the dump truck lost its load, and has clogged traffic in that direction causing major delays. At the time of publication, only one eastbound lane is open.
As if that weren't enough, police and other crews are also responding to an accident heading south on Highway 43 at the very same intersection.
That seemingly less serious fender bender has only made traffic woes worse at the intersection.
Drivers should expect major delays in Northport and avoid the area if possible.
