Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra to Host “Chamber of Lights” Candlelit Concert Monday
The Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra will present a special first-time experience Monday night, their inaugural candlelight concert titled "Chamber of Lights."
The concert will be performed at the Moody Concert Hall, transforming the hall into a warm atmosphere of candlelight, complemented by the orchestra's Boroque and Contemporary musical pieces.
The elegant musical experience will open with Handel’s Concerto Grosso in G Major, featuring Diane Boyd Schultz (flute), sequenced by the distinguished Concerto for Violin and Oboe by Bach, featuring Levon Margaryan (violin) and Mary Lindsey Bailey (oboe).
Natassia Perrine, Executive Director of the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, said the event will be "unlike anything we've ever done before."
“We’re creating an intimate experience, where each piece of music feels more personal, drawing the audience into a truly immersive environment," Perrine said. "Candlelight will illuminate the hall and heighten the emotional impact of the music, giving each performance a fresh layer of intimacy and warmth.”
The Orchestra would like to remind attendees to not miss your last opportunity to grab the Quintet Package—your ticket to the best value for the remaining performances of the season!
