The Tuscaloosa Farmers Market is bringing back its Tuesday markets throughout June and July, giving residents and visitors even more opportunities to grab fresh produce and handmade goods from local vendors this summer.

In addition to the weekly Farmers Market held all morning every Saturday, these Tuesday markets will run weekly from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa River Market on Jack Warner Parkway.

These weekday markets will each feature about a dozen local farmers and as many as 25 local vendors in total.

Each week carries its own theme, and the city shared each theme in a press release distributed on Wednesday.

  • June 2 — Tuesday Market Kick-Off with live music from Ethan Gardiner
  • June 9 — Tomato Sandwich Day (make your own sandwich while supplies last)
  • June 16 — Honeybee Tuesday with Vince Wallace of Wallace Homestead
  • June 23 — Corn & Cornhole
  • June 30 — Peach Party (a beach party with peaches!)
  • July 7 — Blueberry Bingo, featuring free hourly games with blueberry-themed prizes beginning at 3:30 p.m.
  • July 14 — Watermelon Slice Giveaway (while supplies last)
  • July 21 — Christmas in July, featuring special appearances from holiday characters including The Grinch and Olaf
  • July 28 — Micro Greens with Martin Blair of Underground Forest

Admission to each Tuesday market and the weekly Saturday markets is free and open to the public, although, of course, each vendor will charge for their goods.
