Crash Closes All Lanes of I-20 West / 59 South in Greene County Tuesday

A major accident has shut down westbound traffic on Interstate 20/59 on Tuesday morning, the Alabama Department of Transportation confirmed.

In a post on X, ALDOT said all lanes of I-20 West / I-59 South are closed at Mile Marker 58, which is near the Eutaw exit in Greene County.

Nothing is moving away from Tuscaloosa towards Mississippi right now as Alabama State Troopers and other first responders work to clear the roadway.

ALDOT recommends considering alternate routes, and drivers moving west on the interstate should expect delays as they approach the crash site near Eutaw.
