Bigger, Better Tuscaloosa Restaurant Week Returns to Celebrate City’s Cuisine
After its successful reintroduction last year, Tuscaloosa Restaurant Week kicks off again on Sunday to celebrate some of the city's best culinary offerings.
This year's iteration is organized by Visit Tuscaloosa and presented by UA Online, and almost three dozen local restaurants will offer special dishes and discounts all week long.
Townsquare Media will once again partner up and publish daily stories on the Thread highlighting the hands that make the city's finest food and also feature owners and operators on morning shows on 95.3 the Bear and 105.1 the Block all week long.
"Tuscaloosa Restaurant Week is a testament to the diverse and thriving culinary scene in our city," said Josh Rivers, Director of Community Partnerships and Group Tour Experiences at Visit Tuscaloosa. "Participating restaurants will offer a rich tapestry of flavors and experiences, ensuring that there's something for everyone to enjoy. We invite residents and visitors alike to join us in savoring the unique offerings of our local dining establishments."
Last year saw us profile Jalapeño's Mexican Grill, Forté: Cuts & Cocktails, Thomas Rib Shack, Southern Ale House and Chuck's Fish, and starting Sunday, we'll roll out new feature stories each day.
"Hospitality is at the heart of what makes Tuscaloosa special," said Visit Tuscaloosa President and CEO Kelsey Rush. "We are privileged to showcase the talents of our chefs and the warmth of our hospitality during Visit Tuscaloosa Restaurant Week. This event not only celebrates our culinary diversity but also underscores the integral role that hospitality plays in our community."
