Tuscaloosa Police Respond to Several Reports of Gunshots

The Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to multiple reports of gunshots at an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Eighth Avenue late Saturday night.

Multiple squad cars and an ambulance appeared on the scene after the calls came in at approximately 8:50 p.m.

Several shots were reportedly fired but a TPD spokesperson said at this time, no victims or suspects have been located.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit has been contacted about the incident but was not presently at the scene. The VCU could not be reached for comment.

TPD continues to investigate. No further details are available at this time.
