Barr was killed just before 7:30 Sunday night when the SUV she was driving south on Greensboro Avenue was struck by a sedan headed north as Barr attempted to turn left onto 43rd Street near Academy Sports.

Barr was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 26-year-old woman, was extricated from the wreckage of her car and taken by ambulance to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries that Taylor called serious but not life-threatening.
