Tuscaloosa Physician’s Assistant Accused of Forging Painkiller Prescriptions
A physician's assistant in Tuscaloosa has been arrested and accused of forging prescriptions for painkillers on several occasions and also charged with voyeurism over footage filmed on a hidden camera in his home in 2019.
Court documents filed on Monday say William Blake Hubbard, a physician's assistant working in Tuscaloosa, used his position to create electronic prescriptions for a family member and received them as if on their behalf before using them "for his own benefit," according to the deposition.

This happened on four occasions from December 2024 through March 2025, according to police investigators.
For this, Hubbard was charged with a dozen crimes - four counts each of computer tampering, third-degree forgery and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Hubbard was also charged with voyeurism, a class C felony, in connection with video footage found on his computer by a family member.
In court documents, police stated that the footage originated from a hidden camera installed in a guest room at Hubbard's home and was recorded in 2019.
Investigators say the footage showed an adult relative filmed without her consent in various states of undress.
Hubbard was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on the 13 charges and has since been released on bond.
