A 27-year-old Tuscaloosa man died Sunday night in a collision while he was driving his motorcycle in nearby Shelby County, Alabama State Troopers have confirmed.

Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said William Symington was driving a 2018 Honda Rebel when he crossed the centerline and collided with a 2006 Toyota Camry that was being driven by a Bessemer woman.

Symington, a 27-year-old Tuscaloosa man, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place around 11:40 p.m. Sunday.

Corporal King said the collision took place on Shelby County Road 52 about a mile west of Helena.

No other details were available Monday morning as ALEA State Troopers continued to investigate the deadly accident.
