The SUV left the highway and overturned, and Luster was ejected from the car in the accident. King said he was not using a seat belt.

Emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene of the accident.

King said the circumstances of the accident are still under investigation, but Troopers believe excessive speed was a factor.

No further information was available Thursday night as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
