A Tuscaloosa man died Friday night in a single-vehicle accident not far from Montgomery, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has confirmed.

State Trooper Anna Peoples, an ALEA public information officer, said the victim was Joshua C. Brown, who lived in Tuscaloosa.

Peoples said Brown was driving his 2020 Ford F150 on Old Selma Road outside of Burkvile, Alabama in Lowndes County late Friday night at the time of the accident.

She said Brown entered a curve, left the road way and the truck overturned. Brown was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

People said the deadly wreck took place around 11:35 p.m. Friday.

No further details were available Saturday as Troopers continue to investigate.
