City Schools Report More COVID-19 Cases in 3 Weeks Than in All of 2020-2021 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
The Tuscaloosa City School System has now reported a total of 407 confirmed COVID-19 cases, exceeding the total number of last year's cases in less than one month.
TCS began the 2021-2022 school year on August 12 and the latest update to the system's COVID-19 case tracker shows a current cumulative total of 407 cases of the novel Coronavirus among the student body.
During the entire 2020-2021 school year, TCS reported just 381 total cases of the virus among students participating in in-person instruction.
TCS announced Tuesday night that it would be extending its mask mandate through October 6.
