Teacher at Christian School in Tuscaloosa Charged for Sexual Relationship with Student
A 35-year-old teacher at a Christian school in Tuscaloosa has been arrested after the parents of a student there allegedly discovered she was in a sexual relationship with their daughter.
Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said their investigators were alerted by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office to a report from parents of a student of at North River Christian Academy on McFarland Boulevard.

The parents accused 35-year-old teacher Sarah Huggins Logan of a sexual relationship with their child.
In addition to investigating all homicides and assaults in the county, the VCU also handles almost all sex crimes in the region.
Kennedy said they took over the investigation, conducted interviews and recovered evidence before obtaining a warrant for Logan.
Logan was arrested Friday, and Kennedy said she is charged with one count of a School Employee Engaging in a Sex Act and placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
"The investigation is ongoing, and more charges are expected. There is a possibility of other victims, and anyone who was a victim or has further information is encouraged to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at (205) 464-8690."
Kennedy said the school worked with the VCU on the investigation and Logan is no longer employed there.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The suspect in this case worked at North River Christian Academy, and should not be confused with Tuscaloosa Christian School in Cottondale, who are not affiliated.
