Structural damage has been reported in Winfield, Alabama after a tornado passed through the area Wednesday night.

The storm that caused the damage passed through the area just before 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Winfield, a town of about 5,000 people, sits in Fayette and Marion Conunties.

The community is about 60 miles north of Tuscaloosa.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in the area as of 8 p.m. Wednesday, though some people were reportedly entrapped in a damage building and later rescued.
