Governor Kay Ivey has banned the use of TikTok on state-issued networks and devices, reportedly as a means to protect Alabama from Chinese infiltration.

Following the announcement of a "Bama Rush" documentary by Vice, the University of Alabama said they did not give any third-party entity the right to record the process and called the actions "deplorable."
