Tuscaloosa’s Quality Inn Reborn As Budget-Friendly Spark by Hilton
A new, budget-friendly hotel brand has opened in Tuscaloosa, replacing the former Quality Inn on Jug Factory Road.
The three-story, 64-room hotel, located just off Exit 73 onto Tuscaloosa's McFarland Boulevard, is now a Spark by Hilton property.
The conversion wrapped up last month, and the Spark has been operating under the ownership of the PrinShiv LLC and manager Huey Harris' leadership.
This premium economy brand from Hilton is exclusive to hotel conversation projects and represents more than just a paint job - the elevated brand targets travelers and professionals looking for a modern, high-quality stay at affordable prices.
The Spark by Hilton Tuscaloosa features new exterior wall art, a lobby that prioritizes natural light and boasts space to socialize and work as well as complimentary coffees and teas 24/7.
The hotel also still features its 800-square-foot outdoor pool.
“We are proud to unveil the latest Spark by Hilton hotel, which will deliver reliable essentials and friendly service for every guest, all at an accessible price,” said Huey Harris, The PrinShiv LLC. “Our ideal location and signature elements that guests desire from a Hilton hotel stay make us a top choice for both business and leisure travelers visiting the Tuscaloosa area.”
The hotel is, of course, just miles from the Univerisity of Alabama and Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium and all the Tide's other athletic venues.
Each room offers a closet and refrigerator, a brightly lit bathroom and space for white-collar workers to set up their gear and log hours.
Breakfast is also complimentary, and an essentials store is open at all hours for guests to grab any items they may have forgotten to pack.
The conversion also pulls the hotel into the Hilton Honors guest loyalty program and offers benefits to members who use it to book their stays.
Travelers, visitors and locals looking to learn more can visit the Spark by Hilton website or call Spark by Hilton Tuscaloosa University at 205-759-9878.
