A Greensboro teenager was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Hale County late Wednesday night.

The crash occurred on Alabama 25 near the 48-mile marker, approximately four miles south of Greensboro.

Trooper Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency in West Alabama, said the crash occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. when a 28-year-old Greensboro man drove his 2019 Chevrolet Impala off of the roadway, striking a guardrail. The car overturned and landed in a creek.

The teen, a passenger in the Impala, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hogan and two other juvenile passengers were injured and transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

The ALEA Highway Patrol Division is continuing its investigation into the crash, but speed is believed to have been a factor.
