The SEC has already made the decision to postpone this weekend's Ole Miss and Texas A&M game due to the amount of individuals in the Texas A&M program who are in quarantine. Last week the conference had to postpone four games, leaving a bare weekend schedule and creating scheduling complications.

This is this second weekend in a row that Texas A&M has had its game affected by COVID-19. The Aggies already missed its originally scheduled game against Tennessee on Nov. 14, the conference has rescheduled it for Dec. 12.

The SEC recently declared that Dec. 19 would be considered a playing date for those not participating in the conference championship game. Texas A&M currently sits one game behind Alabama for first place in the SEC West, however the Crimson Tide also own the tie-breaker over the Aggies due to a 52-24 Alabama win head-to-head in the second week of the conference season.

The SEC also recently announced the option to rearrange scheduled matchups for the final month of the season. The conference will use the final four weeks of the year, including the day of the SEC Championship to ensure that as many games are played as possible.

Texas A&M will likely make up this weekend's Ole Miss matchup on Dec. 19, however the conference could choose to schedule it any of the final four weeks of the season if both teams are healthy.
