Texas A&M players Antonio Johnson and Max Wright addressed the media on Monday to preview the upcoming matchup against Alabama. One topic that came up during the press conference dealt with the atmospheres of Bryant-Denny Stadium and Kyle Field.

Both players were asked how playing in Kyle Field would prepare them for the atmosphere in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Johnson, a junior tight end, feels prepared going into this hostile environment.

“I wholeheartedly feel like there is no better place to play then Kyle Field and the atmosphere at Kyle Field can’t be mimicked anywhere,” said Johnson. “With noise and stuff like that I feel like Kyle Field is the loudest field I’ve ever played at, so going to other teams’ home, I don’t feel like it bothers us as much because we’re used to the noise.”

Wright, a senior tight end, also shared his thoughts on his mindset going into Bryant-Denny Stadium.

“I think definitely playing in Kyle Field prepares you for loud atmospheres, I think that Kyle Field is one of the loudest atmospheres in the world,” said Wright. “I think that definitely helps playing on the road, already having heard the noise and it’s a big thing having to learn how to communicate in that noise especially for young guys. So having that experience going into an away game in a place where it’s going to be packed out, sold out house is super helpful and super important.”

Both players experienced Bryant-Denny Stadium once, but that was during the 2020 pandemic season, with limited fans in attendance. There will be a much different atmosphere when the Aggies enter the field on Saturday.
