Robert O. Jones

Robert O. Jones, 70, of Tuscaloosa, passed away on January 13, 2021, at DCH Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, officiated by Phillip Bonner, with a graveside service to follow. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m.
Robert is survived by his wife Cynthia Powell Jones; sons William James (April) Jones, Robert Michael (Tammy) Jones, Christopher Kevin (Heather) Jones; and grandchildren Rebekah Jones, Leah Jones, Tansley Jones, Colt Jones, and Brody Jones.
Robert grew up and worked in the Tuscaloosa area, with over 30 years at Drummond Coal Company. He and his wife recently celebrated 50 years of marriage; he loved her every minute of it. He was strong but gentle. He was a hard worker, a provider, and a caretaker. He raised his three sons to be great men and spent his life caring for his family and leading by example. He sacrificed his time and body to make sure his family didn’t do without. He loved as hard as he worked. He was a man of honesty and integrity, love and understanding. His laughter was contagious and his grandchildren were the light of his world. He will be missed more than words can express.
