Alabama Congresswoman Terri Sewell has been named the 2020 recipient of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association Joseph M. Magliochetti Industry Champion Award, one of the highest honors in the industry.

Sewell, the Democrat representative of Alabama's 7th District, was presented with the award on November 9th in a virtual ceremony attended by several MEMA division leaders, including companies with facilities within Sewell's district.

The annual award is named in memory of Magliochetti, who was revered for his tenure in the supplier industry, and as MEMA's chairman focusing on advocacy and outreach on behalf of voter vehicle suppliers. He served as CEO and chairman for Dana Corporation until his death in 2003.
