Police in Tuscaloosa are still searching for the driver of a vehicle that struck and injured two women outside a west Tuscaloosa nightclub Saturday morning.

Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said a speeding driver struck two women who were walking across Culver Road before dawn Saturday morning.

Taylor said the women were walking near Spades nightclub in west Tuscaloosa when a dark-colored muscle car sped through the area and struck them both around 1:45 a.m.

Both women were injured, including one who required CPR, and both were hospitalized and one was still being treated for her injuries on Tuesday.

Investigators with TPD's Traffic Homicide Unit are still searching for the driver, who may have been driving a dark gray or black Dodge Charger or Challenger Taylor said the car likely has front-end damage as well as damage to the hood and or its windshield.
