A 33-year-old Reform man is dead after an accident on Alabama State Road 17 on Monday.

ABC33/40 News reports Christoper S. Byrd was killed in the fatal collision that happened around 4:20 p.m. on May 11.

Byrd's 2011 Chevrolet Silverado collided head-on with a Peterbilt tractor-trailer about six miles outside of Reform. Byrd, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from his truck.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, 57-year-old Claude W. Robinson, was taken to Baptist Memorial-Golden Triangle Hospital in Columbus, Mississippi, for treatment.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the crash. No further details are available at this time.
