A head-on crash in Pickens County on Memorial Day killed an Aliceville man and injured two others, including an infant.
Sergeant Reginal M. King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said 37-year-old Douglas Wilder was pronounced dead at the scene after the 2005 Ford Five Hundred he was driving collided head-on with a 2017 Jeep Cherokee on Pickens County 2 near Patton Road.
King said the wreck happened around four miles west of Aliceville, at around 5:20 p.m. Monday.

The Jeep's driver, a 32-year-old from Gordo, was injured and transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. A 10-month-old passenger in the Jeep was also injured and taken to an area hospital for treatment.
