Peggy Wyatt Masterson (July 18th, 1942 – September 9th, 2024)

Peggy Wyatt Masterson, age 82, of Cottondale, went home to Jesus on September 9, 2024, at UAB Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons Scott (Faith) McAteer and Todd (Leigh) Masterson; 5 grandchildren: James, Sean, and Stephanie McAteer, Mallory and Justin Masterson; a great-granddaughter, River McAteer-Way; brothers Charles (Munter) Wyatt and Johnny (Amy) Wyatt; and sisters Jettie (Steve) Hummel and Betty Vaughn.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jamey Masterson; parents, Edward and Irma Wyatt; and great-granddaughter, Kiria McAteer.

Peggy was a resilient, strong-willed, independent woman who was known for her selflessness, warmth, and devotion to her family and friends. Although her presence will be deeply missed, her kindness and love will remain with us always.
