Pearlean Taylor Lowery (June 10th, 1926 – August 12th, 2023)

Pearlean Taylor Lowery, 97, passed away Saturday, August 12th, 2023.

Pearlean leaves behind her three children, Dot Lowery Sims, Lawrence Milton Lowery (Stephanie), and Teresa Lowery Evans, her grandchildren Don Treanor (Norina), Stephen Treanor (Kim), Meredith Moss Fuller (David), Stephanie Evans Owen, and Monica Mize (Stephen), her ten great-granddaughters, Kathryn Treanor, Taylor Owen, Taylor Mize Peach (Connor), Emily Treanor Marselus (Seth), Autumn Fuller, Brenna Treanor Wood (Alex), Delaney Treanor, Kaylee-James Fuller, Margaret Treanor, and Ashton Jamie Owen, and her great-great granddaughter, Iris Willow Owen. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, friends, and family that she loved dearly.

Pearlean is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Milton Lowery, her parents, Lula Jane Taylor and Robert Henry Taylor, and her siblings Alphaeus Taylor, Ruth Taylor Lemons, Myrtle "Mutt" Green, Rachel Taylor Gregory, Jessie Lee Taylor, Allie Taylor, Alma Taylor, and Nellie Joe Blancett, along with her best friend Mrs. Rose Bain.

Pearlean was the preacher's daughter from Sand Mountain, Alabama. She was an avid sewer and seamstress having worked at Adrian's in Downtown Tuscaloosa for over 20 years, a crafter of many things such as quilts, needlepoint, crochet, and painted artwork, and a devoted member of Circlewood Baptist Church.

A visitation for Pearlean will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Circlewood Baptist Church, 2201 Loop Rd, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 2201 Loop Rd, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405. A burial will occur Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 11:45 AM at Memory Hill Gardens, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405.
