Paul Harold Johnson (February 23rd, 1938 – July 19th, 2022)

Paul H. Johnson went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2022.

Paul was born February 23, 1938 to Audie and Revella Johnson. At age 4, after his father had passed away, he went to live with his grandparents Ernest and Carrie Higdon. He enjoyed talking about his experiences with them.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vivian Fulgham Johnson. Children Barry Johnson (Angela), Cheryl Grosche ( Charles). Grandchildren Matthew Johnson, Tyler House (Nevada), and Ashley Johnson. Great grandchild Oaklynn House. Sisters Mary Blaylock , Jimmie Nell McDaniel and brother Dewey Baswell.

Paul worked for 40 years with the Alabama Department of Transportation. He enjoyed going to church and studying the Bible. He loved Jesus and always knew He was in charge of every situation.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Chapel South Funeral Home with services at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chad Palmer officiating.

Pallbearers are Andy Stout, Jerry Latham,Joey House, Chris Hunnicutt, David Hubbard,and Jaimie Lancaster.

Honorary pallbearers are East McFarland Baptist Church members, Alabama Department of Transportation Retirees, Country Oaks neighbors, Dr. Scott Fulgham, Oasis Hospice, and Tuscaloosa Internal Medicine.

In lieu of flowers, make donations to Hospice of North Alabama, Inc.; 2457 Mall Road, Florence, Alabama 35630 or East McFarland Baptist Church Building Fund.
