A pair of new boutiques will celebrate their grand openings in Tuscaloosa's Midtown Village shopping center later this month.

The first is the VACE Boutique, which officially opened in early February but is planning a celebration and formal debut on Friday, March 21st at 10 a.m.

The shop features a curated collection of clothes and accessories, said Madison Grooms, a spokesperson for Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors, which handles leasing at Midtown Village.

"We are excited to celebrate the Grand Opening of VACE Boutique at Midtown Village," said Alex Conner, Leasing Manager at Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors. "Their fresh and fashionable approach will enhance our shopping center's diverse retail mix, and we look forward to the community experiencing all they have to offer."

The Friday morning grand opening celebration will feature "special surprises" throughout the day, Grooms said.

The second store hosting a grand opening this month is Cobalt's Boutique, who will have a ribbon-cutting at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 29th, the weekend after the event at VACE.

Grooms said Cobalt's will offer chic apparel, accessories and unique finds for a variety of tastes.

"We are thrilled to welcome Cobalt's Boutique to Midtown Village," Conners said. "Their unique and fashionable offerings will be a wonderful addition to our community, and we are excited for guests to experience everything they have to offer."

The pair of announcements follow other good news from Crawford Square that a new Mexican restaurant will move into the large space once occupied by Buffalo's Cafe.
