The Tuscaloosa Police Department's accident reconstruction unit is investigating a dirt bike crash that killed a 21-year-old man and left a woman injured Tuesday.

According to a release from the Tuscaloosa Police Department, the crash happened at 12:50 a.m. The victim, identified as Justin Tionne Wilder Jr., was driving a Yamaha dirt bike north on McFarland Boulevard East when he collided with an SUV that was turning right on Jug Factory Road near several fast food restaurants in the 800 block of Skyland Boulevard.

Wilder and the passenger of the SUV were both taken to DCH Regional Medical Center where Wilder later died. The 21-year-old female suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation with the accident reconstruction unit.
