The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a new Significant Weather Advisory for portions of Tuscaloosa, Greene, Hale and Pickens Counties. These advisories are set to expire at 2:45 p.m. Friday.

AT 214 PM CDT, DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING A STRONG THUNDERSTORM NEAR
MANTUA, OR 13 MILES NORTH OF EUTAW, MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

WINDS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
EUTAW, AKRON, UNION, KNOXVILLE, BENEVOLA, MANTUA, JENA, SNODDY, RALPH
AND PIONEER.

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IS ALSO OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM, AND MAY LEAD
TO LOCALIZED FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH FLOODED
ROADWAYS.

FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM.
LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE 10 MILES AWAY FROM A THUNDERSTORM. SEEK A SAFE
