The witness reportedly provided documentation of these crimes being committed for several weeks in February and March of this year.

Christopher Scott Allen, a 46-year-old Northport man, was developed as a suspect and interviewed by investigators last week.

According to the court documents, Allen told police he had been using to using a mobile app called Facecast to video chat with a 13-year old girl in the United Kingdom.

He then allegedly admitted that at one point, he removed his pants and touched himself sexually while he was chatting with the girl. Officers searched Allen's phone and confirmed the Facecast app was installed on it.

Officers arrested Allen Friday and charged him with one count of transmitting obscene material to a child, a Class-B felony in the state of Alabama.

Allen was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where his bond was set at $15,000. He remained there Tuesday afternoon.
