Northport, Alabama Man Arrested for Stealing 5 Catalytic Converters
A Northport man has been charged with five counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle after stealing five catalytic converters from company vehicles, according to court documents filed Thursday.
On May 16, 2021 at approximately 3:55 a.m., Reginald Lance Tierce, 31, and another unknown white male were dropped off by another subject in a silver Chevrolet Malibu at Channell Communications, located at 6950 E Hargrove Road.
The two men proceeded to enter the fenced-in parking lot and cut the catalytic converters from five vehicles in the lot.
The subjects fled the scene in the same Malibu after removing the converters.
At this time, no other arrests have been made in this case.
This is just one instance included in a string of catalytic converter thefts, which has been a common problem in the Tuscaloosa area for several months.
