No One Hurt When Train Strikes Car on Tracks in Tuscaloosa County
No one was injured Friday when a train plowed into a car stuck on the tracks in Tuscaloosa County, first responders have confirmed.
Representatives for the Coaling Fire Protection District shared a picture of the aftermath of the collision on social media.
The train reportedly hit a vehicle on the tracks near Hagler Coaling Road in the eastern Tuscaloosa County town of Coaling.
Fortunately, the driver of the motor vehicle got out of it before impact - the emergency responders said there were no injuries in the collision, which was their 603rd call for dispatch in 2023.
Editor's note: the vehicle destroyed by the train was stuck on the tracks and unable to move, not parked there intentionally or negligently, the family of the driver clarified Saturday.
