Ten additional roll-off dumpsters are available in Tuscaloosa to assist students and their families during the moving process, the city announced Tuesday.

The dumpsters are marked with signage and will be available until Friday, August 11.

  • 300 Thomas Street (behind apartment building)
  • 7th Avenue & 12th Street
  • 8th Avenue & 11th Street (in front of Capstone Condominiums)
  • 11th Avenue & 12th Street (in front of Heathrow Apartments)
  • 12th Street behind Tutwiler
  • 12th Street & 14th Avenue
  • 8th Avenue & 13th Street
  • 6th Avenue behind Jacks

Move-Out Dumpster Map 2023

The city says the dumpsters are only for removal of residential household waste, not for businesses or contractors. Users should place all waste inside the dumpsters and leave nothing on the ground surrounding.

Students are encouraged to leave recyclable items in their curbside blue bins or at one of the several drop-off recycling trailers throughout the city.

Recyclable:

  • Cardboard boxes
  • Plastic bottles
  • Plastic bags
  • Aluminum cans
  • Steel soup cans
  • Newspapers/magazines
  • Office paper

Electronics being thrown out can be taken to the Environmental Services Facility at 3440 Reese Phifer Avenue each weekday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
