Midtown Village’s Inaugural Summer Celebration Set for June 11
Tuscaloosa's premier outdoor retail center, Midtown Village, is bringing a new annual summer event to the heart of town full of local pop ups, sweet deals, music and more.
This Saturday, June 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Summer Edit will take place in Midtown Village on the green between Barnes & Noble and Panera Bread.
The event will include music from the local band Algorhythm, a photo booth and a braid bar run by Midtown's Southern Roots Hair Studio. There will also be a wide variety of more than 15 local pop-ups and vendors selling their products, including plants from House Plant Collective, beverages from Black Tap Society, handmade jewelry from Make it Funky Co., and art by Abi Brewer Fine Arts, just to name a few.
American Eagle will be attending with a hiring incentive for their new store in the center and Just Love Coffee Cafe will be spreading caffeinated cheer. An Ulta goodie bag giveaway will be open to everyone in attendance and an exclusive shopping pass will be available for many of Midtown's retailers, which contains discounts and sale racks for certain stores.
Midtown Village's marketing associate, Hollyann Luker, said she is excited to kick off summer with this event, which is one of the first offered since management of the shopping center was taken over by Luker's Crawford Square late last year.
"It's a free, fun event for families to come to," Luker said. "If you come you'll get some Midtown Village swag and you can enter to win the giveaway!"
