A crash at the Tuscaloosa Airport yesterday resulted in damages to the runway and a delay in production at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Vance.

Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Traffic Reporter "Captain" Ray Allen said a plane carrying parts for MBUSI was scheduled to arrive in Tuscaloosa yesterday afternoon. The plane was coming in with a very low ceiling and ran off the runway. No one was injured in the accident; however, the aircraft sustained heavy damage.

Allen also says that production at the MBUSI plant was delayed for approximately 8 hours as a result of the accident.
