The mayors of Tuscaloosa and Auburn will continue a 20-year tradition and wager a charitable donation over the outcome of Saturday's Iron Bowl.

Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox announced the bet Monday. He said he and his Auburn counterpart Ron Anders will put $100 on the line - if the Crimson Tide beats Auburn, Anders will donate $100 to the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative, a long-loved cause for Maddox.

If the Tigers manage to topple Alabama in Jordan-Hare Stadium, Maddox has agreed to pay the same amount to the Exceptional Foundation of East Alabama.

The tradition was first launched in 2005, after Maddox was elected mayor, and he has held the seat since then. The Tide has enjoyed a better run of it - Alabama has won 13 of the 20 Iron Bowls since 2005, including the last five straight.

"Regardless of which team wins, I consider this a win-win for both Mayor Anders and I," Mayor Maddox said. "Both the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative and the Exceptional Foundation of East Alabama are very important to our communities and I'm grateful to continue this wager. Best of luck to Mayor Anders, and Roll Tide!"

Kalen DeBoer and QB Ty Simpson are 10-point favorites headed to Auburn, but any Alabama fan knows strange things can happen on the Plains.
